With generous funding from the Academy of Korean Studies, the Centre for Asian and Transcultural Studies (CATS) – Institute of Chinese Studies – at Heidelberg University is looking for a Research Fellow (Akademische Mitarbeiterin/Akademischer Mitarbeiter, 50%) for three years beginning in October 2019.
The position is part of the research project “Global Korea: Transnational Mobility of People, Goods, and Ideas”. Within the framework of this research project, an opportunity will be provided to write a doctoral dissertation with a research topic related to mobility and migration between Korea and Europe.
Requirements
• Master degree with very good grades in the academic field of Asian Studies, political sciences, sociology, ethnology, economics or transcultural studies
• A very good command of German and English language proficiencies in speaking and writing
• A basic knowledge of Korean is preferable
• Preferably experience in organizing academic events
You will have an opportunity to work under an interesting interdisciplinary environment in the newly established Centre for Asian and Transcultural Studies (CATS) of Heidelberg University.
The remuneration will be based on E-13, TV-L.
